We are excited to welcome you as a valued member of our credit union family! We’re looking forward to serving you and to helping you achieve your current and future financial goals. Our priority is to make the transition as smooth as possible for you and to minimize service disruption.

We want to share some important information with you to help you prepare for the transition to OMISTA.


What to expect when your accounts transfer.

By 9PM on July 13, 2022, all member account transfers from Citizens Credit Union to OMISTA will be complete. The transfer process will take two days to complete. During this time, there will be a temporary service disruption.

From 5PM July 11 to 9PM July 13 you will be unable to use your debit card or access your accounts through an ATM, online or in-branch banking. Once the transfer is complete, access will resume using your new OMISTA account information.

How to Prepare


Plan Ahead

To prepare for the service disruption we encourage you to complete necessary transactions including any cash withdrawals you require ahead of time. Please note, pre-authorized payments, bill payments or direct deposits you have already set up will not be affected.


Debit Card

Please visit the Citizens Credit Union Fredericton Junction branch or any OMISTA branch between June 20 and July 11 to obtain and activate your new card. Activating your card in the branch during this timeframe ensures it will be ready to use after 9PM on July 13, 2022. You may wish to withdraw cash prior to July 11 to help during the transfer process period.


Online Banking

The convenience of online banking allows you to manage your banking 24/7. You can send money by Interac e-Transfer®, deposit cheques, and set up alerts. After 9PM July 13, you’ll access online banking through our website.


Mobile App

OMISTA Credit Union’s mobile app gives you instant and secure access to your money anytime, anywhere.

OMISTA employees will be at the Citizens Credit Union branch until July 22, 2022. However, to facilitate the transition to OMISTA, all cash services will end at this branch on July 11 (e.g., cash deposits and withdrawals, cheque cashing, ATM service). You can also contact any OMISTA branch or email us if you have questions.
