Beer on the Bridge Returns to Fredericton for an Evening of Community, Charity, and Celebration – OMISTA Credit Union Co-Presenting Sponsor!
Fredericton, get ready! Beer on the Bridge is back for it’s 2nd year, inviting residents and visitors to come together for an unforgettable evening of fun, philanthropy, and brews on July 6.
Organized by Fredericton Sunrise Rotary, Fredericton’s iconic Bill Thorpe Walking Bridge will transform into a vibrant hub of activity, featuring local brewers, distillers, meaderies, food and entertainers. This year, event organizer Fredericton Sunrise Rotary proudly partners with 12 Neighbours Community Inc., the Fredericton charity renowned for its innovative approach to combating poverty and fostering independence.
OMISTA is excited to be joining Riverview Ford Lincoln/Honda as a co-presenting sponsor. At OMISTA, we are committed to enhancing communities through economic, social, and environmental objectives. OMISTA employees are active participants and leaders in the communities where our members work and live. Many team members from our Fredericton, Oromocto, and Moncton branches will be on-site assisting with set-up and tear-down, greeting volunteers, and engaging with attendees at our tent where we welcome conversation, laughs, and entries into our prize draw. The support we can contribute to this event underscores our commitment to fostering a strong sense of community and making a positive impact in the lives of others.

The relationship between 12 Neighbours Community and Beer on the Bridge holds special significance for OMISTA. Fifty percent of the event's proceeds will go directly to 12 Neighbours Community, supporting their mission to provide affordable housing and empower individuals facing homelessness through personal development and work training programs.
When 12 Neighbours launched, our OMISTA Fredericton managers immediately connected with the program as a meaningful initiative that aligned with our values. As an entry-level partner, we have been able to make significant financial contributions and engaged our team members in decorating and preparing homes, welcoming residents, assisting with building, landscaping, fundraising, and raising awareness for the project. There are also plans for sharing expertise with the community in the areas of budgeting, financial health, resumé building, and interview preparation.
